Urochem 614
SINGLE PACK POLYURETHANE COATING/SEALER/PRIMER
DESCRIPTION
Urochem 614 is a single-pack, moisture cured polyurethane coating/sealer/primer based on an aromatic pre-polymer. The product is characterised by exceptional toughness and good flexibility. The rate of cure is influenced more by humidity and film thickness than temperature. Adhesion to most sound, suitably prepared surfaces is good and inter-coat times should not exceed 12 hours. As the product is based on an aromatic isocyanate, it will yellow and weather upon exposure to sunlight. This product displays good all-round chemical resistance.
APPLICATION
• Brush, enamel roller or spray. A minimum of two coats is recommended.
• Overcoat within 4 hours.
SAFETY
• Flammable.
• Contains volatile organic solvents.
• Remove all ignition sources from the working area and ensure adequate ventilation. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided by wearing protective clothing including safety goggles, gloves, and overalls. Take care when opening sealed containers as the contents may be under pressure. Please consult the Health and Safety Data Sheet.
CLEANING
Clean all equipment immediately after use with Urochem 901, as once the coating has polymerized it may only be removed mechanically.
SURFACE PREPARATION
• All surfaces must be clean, sound, and dry before application. Remove all loose material and ensure that there is no contamination by oils, grease, curing compounds etc. Steel surfaces must be blasted to at least SA 2.5, before applying a coat of a suitable anti-corrosive primer – Urochem 617.
• Ensure that all laitance has been removed from concrete surfaces and any omegas and other defects have been filled and patched with a suitable epoxy compound – Urochem 220.
PRODUCT APPLICATION
Used as a tough flexible water-resistant primer or coating on surfaces exposed to damp and moisture and where all round toughness is a requirement. It does possess some anti-graffiti properties.
