SINGLE COMPONENT HYBRID CONSTRUCTION SEALANT/ADHESIVE

Urochem 535 is a thixotropic, VOC free, moisture curing, hybrid sealant/adhesive. It is a filled, moisture and oxidation resistant, mastic that exhibits excellent adhesion to cementitious, steel, wood, ceramic, aluminium, brick, and various other substrates. (Does not bond well to Stainless steel without a primer)

• Ensure correct joint preparation before placing the sausage in the long barrel gun, cut end off sausage and fit the nozzle; trim the tip to suit the joint spacing to be filled before gunning the product into prepared joints.

• The adhesive may be smoothed and finish off with soapy water if required.

Contact with the skin should be avoided by wearing gloves, eye protection and protective clothing. In case of eye contact wash well and obtain medical advice.

Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with Urochem 901.

All surfaces to be clean, sound, and dry, free of moisture, laitance, oils, and dust.

• Urochem 535 can be used as a general joint sealer on low movement joints, as a crack filler on cementitious surfaces, as well as an adhesive on a wide range of substrates. It provides medium chemical, wear and corrosion resistance, while at the same time curing to a 35 Shore A hardness (+/- 5 Shore A). A degree of colour change with time is to be expected.

• It is not recommended for use in water retaining structures.

• Urochem 535 is overcoatable, however the coating will crack as it will not accommodate the same movement as the sealant.

• It is recommended that a compatibility test is done prior to application or painting.
